In this page you will find the answers to the most common questions about the functionalities of our platform and our online Italian courses. If you still have doubts, do not hesitate to contact us at info@italmente.it, we will reply as soon as possible!

  • How do I purchase a course?
    Visit our Group Course page to choose an upcoming group and get in touch with us. We will then test your level and send you a payment link when your participation is confirmed. Visit our Individual Lessons page to request a free trial lesson. We will then get in touch with you, and when you choose to continue your classes, we will send you a payment link. You can purchase additional lessons using the Add More Lessons button in your Calendar. Following the steps will lead you to the checkout for a credit card payment. Visit out Speaking Club page to purchase a subscription. You will enjoy a 7-day free trial and then billed monthly until you cancel your subscription. We also accept bank transfers for Group and Individual courses, but not for the Speaking Club.
  • How do I create an account?
    You automatically create an account in the following ways: - when requesting a free trial lesson - when purchasing a Speaking Club subscription You can also create an account at any moment by clicking on Login in the upper right corner of our website, and then on Sign Up.
  • What payment options do you accept?
    We accept online payments via the most popular credit and debit cards through our portal. If you prefer to pay via bank transfer, please contact us direct at info@italmente.it, and we will send you our bank details. Please note that bank transfer payments are not accepted for Speaking Club subscriptions.
  • What currencies do you accept?
    For the moment, we only accept payments in EUR.
  • The payment didn’t go through. What should I do?
    If there was an issue during the payment, please contact us at info@italmente.it or through any other available mean, and we will assist as soon as possible.
  • How do I receive my invoice?
    We will send you an email with your invoice within one business day after we received your payment.
  • Can I get a refund?
    Students who purchased individual lessons are entitled to a 30-day money back guarantee, check our T&C for more information. Force-majeure situations may represent an exception to this rule and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • How do I access my account?
    If you already have an account and are logged in, you can access your account by opening the menu at the top-right corner of the page and clicking on the “Account” button.
  • How do I change my personal details?
    You can edit your personal details such as name, surname, address, email by opening the menu in the upper right corner of the website and then clicking on “Account”.
  • How do I access my course?
    Courses are accessed via the Learn menu, located in the upper menu of our website (if you are on mobile, the Learn menu is substituted by the book icon). Follow My Private Lessons to access the individual lessons calendar. In the My Groups section, you will find the groups you have been assigned to for Group Courses and Speaking Club. You can cancel your Speaking Club subscription in the dedicated section of your Personal Area, in the upper right corner of our website. Please check the dedicated answers below for more information.
  • How do I see a list of the orders I made?
    A dedicated section to see your orders is currently under development. If you wish to see a list of the orders you made, you can email us at info@italmente.it and we will send it to you.
  • How do I access the Italian quizzes?
    You can access our collection of online Italian exercises from the “Quizzes” section of the Learn menu from the website header (the book icon if you are on mobile).
  • How do I schedule individual lessons?
    To book individual lessons, go to the “My Private Lessons” section of the Learn menu (the book icon if you are on mobile). There, you will find a calendar that will show the available slots where you can book your lessons. You will only see the available slots of your teacher. Kindly make sure you set your time zone correctly, to avoid confusion with the times of the lessons. You book a slot by clicking on the Book button. You will then receive the Zoom link for your class via email. You can also find the link in the calendar.
  • How do I access my lessons?
    You can access your lessons via the Zoom links that appear in the calendar after you book slots, and which are also sent to you via email.
  • How do I purchase additional lessons?
    To buy additional lessons you can click on the “Add More Lessons” button on your Calendar, select your preferred package and proceed with the payment. Your new lessons will then be added to your previous lesson count and the expiration date for all your lessons will be extended.
  • Can I cancel a lesson planned for tomorrow?
    Yes, if you make the change in the calendar before 6pm CET.
  • Can I cancel a lesson planned for today?
    Same-day changes are not possible. If you are unable to attend your lesson, the lesson will unfortunately be lost. Exceptions can be made for force-majeure situations such as illness or other emergencies. In these cases, please let us know, and we will return the lesson to your count.
  • I didn’t receive the Zoom link via email. What should I do?
    Zoom links may sometimes not arrive via email. but they can always be found in Calendar, both by selecting the day the lesson is planned for, and in the Upcoming Lessons section. We also encourage you to check your spam folder, as our automated emails might end up there sometimes.
  • Can I change my teacher?
    Although all our teachers are professionals who are expert in teaching all student profiles, we understand that a student might wish to study with a different teacher. In this case, we kindly ask you to inform us by writing to info@italmente.it, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
  • How much time do I have to use my purchased lessons?
    The package validity is for 6 months for 10 lessons and 12 months for 25 lessons. In case you buy additional lessons, the relative additional weeks will be added to your course.
  • Can I choose the programme/topics of the course?
    Yes, individual courses are tailored to the student, who can ask the teacher to focus on specific linguistic aspects, topics or goals. In case no specific request is made, our standard programme will be applied.
  • Will I need to pay for the textbook?
    The electronic textbook will be included for free for bookings of 10+ lessons.
  • I purchased a group course. What happens now?
    If you made a payment for a Group Course, it means we already agreed with you about a specific Group Course with a defined starting date. After the payment, we will send you a Zoom link for all your classes, your electronic textbook, and you will be ready to start. Should the group not start after you made the payment (for example, for lack of participants), you will be able to choose between receiving a full refund, converting your classes into an Individual Course or waiting for more participants to join.
  • When can I start?
    We sometimes have specific starting dates that are indicated on our Group Course page. When no specific starting date is specified, it means that we are just waiting for the minimum number of participants to join to launch the group. Feel free to get in touch with us to receive an estimate of the starting date.
  • How do I access my group lessons?
    You will be able to access your group in the My Group section of your Personal Area. There you will find the link to access your lessons, the course schedule and eventual materials and messages uploaded by your teacher.
  • Can I change my group?
    Our academic team chooses the right group for our students based on their level. This does not mean, of course, that all the students in a group have the same abilities, and this represents an advantage of studying in a group: by confronting yourself with your peers, you exchange knowledge and learn from them in what is known as cooperative learning. However, we understand that for various reasons you might feel uncomfortable in your group. In this case we kindly ask you to get in touch with us at info@italmente.it, and we will do our best to find the best option for you.
  • Can I change my teacher?
    The group’s tutor cannot be changed as a result of a single student’s request. However, we might be able to find another group for you, or another course type. Please see the question above for more information.
  • I purchased a course but there is no group of my level. What happens now?
    If we are unable to open a group due to lack of participants, you will be able to choose between switching to Individual Lessons, moving to a different group (when available), waiting for new participants to join, or receiving a full refund.
  • Will I need to pay for the textbook?
    No, you will be provided with the electronic Italian textbook for free.
  • How do I open my textbook?
    When you join one of our Italian courses we will send you a code to activate your Italian textbook on the Blinklearning platform. All you need to do then is to create a student account and insert the code given by us to start using your virtual textbook. There is no need to download any software as the platform is browser-based. Please note that textbook will be accessible for 14 months from the time of the activation.
  • How do I access Italmente’s Italian quizzes?
    After you purchase one of our courses, you will automatically receive access to our collection of Italian online exercises, which can be found in your “Quizzes” section of your personal area and are divided by level and focus (communication or grammar).
  • When accessing the quizzes from my mobile phone I have difficulties scrolling down.
    We are aware of the fact that our quizzes are not 100% mobile friendly, although they can still be accessed and enjoyed via mobile. If you find it difficult to scroll down, try scrolling on the outer side of the page, instead of scrolling from the centre. This usually solves the issue.
  • The quiz won't start when clicking on the "Avvia" button
    In order to use our quizzes you need to enable third-party cookies on your browser. The procedure varies according to the browser you're using, but you should be able to find this option in the browser preferences. Do not hesitate to contact use if you need any assistance with this issue!
  • Is there a limit to the number of exercises I can take, or to the number of attempts?
    No, there are no limits at all. Enjoy!
